At Deep River Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we built our practice on integrity and trust. We never try to encourage our patients toward treatments they don’t want or don’t need. We are also friendly dental professionals who work to make everyone feel at home when under our care.

Part of these goals means partnering with patients to help them achieve their healthiest smiles.

Preventive Dentistry Is Part of the Patient and Dentist Partnership

We know that preventive dentistry in High Point lowers your risks for costly and time- consuming oral health issues in the future—conditions like:

  • Tooth cavities
  • Gum disease
  • Oral infections

For these reasons, our team emphasizes prevention, which includes twice-yearly:

  • Dental checkups
  • Teeth cleanings
  • Periodic x-rays
  • Oral cancer screenings

Your High Point dentist and our hygienist always talk to you about any findings, and they encourage your questions. If you need nutritional advice or brushing and flossing tips, for example, they are thrilled to help you along.

Your Role in Prevention

Between dental checkups and teeth cleanings, your role is to maintain your oral health. This means brushing and flossing at least twice daily—being sure to hit all surfaces and to floss between all teeth. You should also clean your teeth before bed if you have eaten or drank anything other than water since your last tooth brushing.

If you notice anything unusual between dental visits, including oral sores, tooth pain, or swelling, we recommend contacting our dental office right away and arranging an exam. We are also here to offer advice and partner with you between visits—never hesitate to reach out!

Your Healthy Smile is Our Number One Priority

If it’s time for your next dental exam and teeth cleaning, or if you would like to establish dental care in the High Point area, a team member is standing by to get you started.
